Terry Eagan, MD
Terry Eagan, MDChief Medical Officer
Terry V. Eagan, M.D. is the President, Founder and Chief Medical Officer for The Eagan Institute. He is Assistant Clinical Professor, Department of Psychiatry and the Behavioral Sciences University of Southern California College of Medicine.

He is an expert consultant for a number of organizations including the California Department of Corrections and the only American expert invited by His Holiness, the Dalai Lama, to speak three years in a row for the Body, Mind & Life conference in India. Dr. Eagan pioneered the concept of Professional Ethics and Compassion Fatigue and has guided training programs for individual practitioners, multinational corporations, public school systems, community health centers, law enforcement agencies, hospitals, and universities. A prominent and experienced speaker, he has spoken at hundreds of conferences and organizations including Harvard Medical School and the Body, Mind & Life Conference. He has served as an expert in psychiatry for Paramount Pictures, NBC and HBO. Dr. Eagan has been featured in dozens of publications, including Variety, Forbes, New York Magazine, and has appeared as a mental health consultant on several radio and television programs, including the Today Show. He has been a medical consultant for the VH-1 Network, the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) and was the Medical Director & co-host for the Lifetime Network television series on Eating Disorders, “Starving Secrets” with Tracy Gold.

Dr. Eagan has been co-investigator for over 15 pivotal clinical trials in social phobia, obsessive compulsive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, depression and psychogenic impotence and he lectures on psychopharmacology to physicians across the United States. He was a Collaborating Physician Investigator for the American Psychiatric Association’s DSM-V Field Trials and was also part of the National Expert Clinical Panel which established the Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Treatment Guidelines for the American Psychiatric Association. Prior to this, he helped shape healthcare policy in the United States as the Honorary Chairman for the State of California for the Physician’s Advisory Board of the National Republican Congressional Committee. He has served as the medical director for 19 medical treatment centers including Moonview Sanctuary and was formerly the Chief Medical Officer of Monte Nido & Affiliates Eating Disorder Programs. Dr. Eagan is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology and Medical Board of California as a physician and surgeon. As founder and CEO of Eagan Medical Group, LLC., his private patients have included leaders in industry, politics, and performers from television, music and film, many of whom have been at the extremes of celebrity.

Karen Odell-Barber, MS, CISD

Karen brings more than 25 years of experience as an adolescent and young adult therapist. She is an Arizona Regent Scholar and studied at the London School of Economics after she completed her undergraduate degree.
She completed her master’s degree in counseling at San Francisco State University, with post graduate training in addiction treatment from UC Berkeley.

Odell-Barber was Milieu Manager, Director of Business Development, and Chief Operating Officer for Belmont Hills Hospital, an 80-bed Neuropsychiatric Center. During her tenure, she led the facility through significant restructuring and a successful JCAHO review and survey, resulting in commendation. She has hands-on management experience within the areas of clinical service, utilization management and review, operations and maintenance and outpatient services. She has served as Clinical Consultant to numerous organizations, including Lifetime Television. She is an experienced public speaker and has presented at various behavioral health and neuroscience conferences throughout the US. Odell-Barber, a Who’s Who in American Businesswomen, was a volunteer lobbyist for the American Medical Association and separately, in 2004 was the author of legislation impacting US healthcare delivery, which passed with 78 percent bipartisan voter approval. She served as Adjunct Professor of Medical Economics for Touro University creating the first ever Medical Economics Curriculum, which has been adopted in medical schools nationwide. She is a volunteer for multiple charities related to children and underprivileged youth and serves as a board member for Prayer for Compassion, tasked with international fundraising for over 19,000 orphans.

A member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, she is the CEO of Treatment Consultants, LLC, a behavioral healthcare concierge case management company specializing in clinical consultation, triage and case management of addiction, eating disorders and co-occurring disorders.

Cody Carrara
Cody CarraraSenior VP, Operations
Now the Senior VP of Operations, Cody was one of Neurologics’ first team members, going back to 2014. Starting as a Neuroengineering Technologist, Cody began working with numerous client facilities and saw the first-hand impact of the Brain Mapping and Optimization protocols.
Having a background in health sciences and healthcare administration, Cody realized early on the groundbreaking potential of Neurologics’ assessment and Optimization program in the behavioral healthcare and sports medicine space.

Cody holds a Master’s of Healthcare Administration from the University of Scranton, and attended Chapman University in Orange, CA for his Bachelor’s degree. Outside of Neurologics, Cody has managed several residential treatment centers in Southern California, and has been a Director of Risk Management and Performance Improvement for large inpatient psychiatric hospitals.

In his free time, Cody enjoys exploring the outdoors and traveling.

Michelle Corcoran
Michelle CorcoranVP, Admissions & Logistics
Michelle thrives in her role as Admissions and Business Development Specialist for Neurologics. As the parent of a child with learning differences, Michelle is passionate about helping other such parents find the most effective tools and resources.
And, since her son completed a Neurologics program, she can attest to its power.

Michelle brings seven years of experience in medical sales and business development, primarily in the area of psychology. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Westmont College in Montecito, California.

An active volunteer, Michelle contributes time and effort to charities including the Glass Slipper Guild, Autism by the Sea, and National Charity League. A PTA member for six years, Michelle was also the Co-Chair of the public schools’ non-profit organization, DEAN’s, which raised hundreds of thousands of dollars at its gala. Weekends for Michelle’s family are all about sports!

Peter Mikulecky, Ph.D.

Peter enjoys his work as Technical Writer for Neurologics, as it allows him to simultaneously exercise his loves for the written word, for education and the machinery of the brain, and for endless playgrounds of science and technology.
Peter has written for three mass-market books, including three science titles within the popular For Dummies series. He has written marketing and technical copy for a wide range of businesses, with an emphasis in the mental health, education and medical technology fields. In addition, has ten peer-reviewed scientific publications. He holds a B.S. in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and a Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry from Indiana University. In earlier chapters of his life, he was an Arabic linguist-interrogator and an intelligence analyst in the U.S. Army, and subsequently a science and math teacher and principal for a private secondary school.

When not writing, Peter can be found with an awl and waxed linen thread, making bespoke shoes and boots by hand. He cooks avidly, driven largely by the immediate gratification it provides. He luxuriates in the company of his stunning wife and his 6.2-pound Miki dog, Reggiee.

Devin Trejo

Concurrently pursuing a degree in psychology, Devin enjoys his role as Lead Neuroengineering Technologist and the ability to witness change. Devin lives in Orange County, Calif. and previously played football for Corona Del Mar High School…
taking the Sea Kings to victory in the Division III State Football Championship in 2013. He has five years of customer service experience and excels at working with people.

Devin enjoys being outdoors and hiking, watching football, riding horses, riding ATVs, and traveling.
